Comprehensive Vegetation Management for Commercial Properties and Large Acreage

We work with ski mountains, farms, utilities providers, land trusts, HOAs, and more to help manage vegetation on their terms—no harmful herbicides, no damaging heavy machinery, just good ol’ “work of mouth.”

Targeted Grazing Services

Our GPS monitored flock goes above and beyond‍ ‍to help homeowners and residential properties manage undesirable and problematic species or just trim the yard with minimal disturbance.

Why Choose Goat Grazing Over Traditional Land Clearing?

Low-impact land clearing is what our flock does best. Traditional land clearing and vegetation management often employ herbicides, that damage our vulnerable ecosystems, and loud heavy machinery that compact soil and increase runoff.

Intensively managed sheep and goats can improve soil health and increase water infiltration in ecologically sensitive and erosion-prone areas.

Our flock is kept tight and moved frequently, eating, trampling, and fertilizing as they go. Their innovative NoFence Collars allow them to target or avoid specific areas with precision.

In steep, difficult, tight, or residential areas our goats and sheep time and again do what the expensive machines can’t. If you’re looking for a sustainable alternative to traditional land clearance and maintainance, look to Cloud Brook Grazing!

How Our Grazing Process Works:

Site Evaluation

1

We work with you to help you develop a set of vegetation management goals and provide you a quote for meeting them with our flock.

Custom Grazing Plan

2

Based on target vegetation, infrastructure (fencing, water, shelter), and unique site considerations (grades, wetlands, buildings) we design a grazing plan specific to each client and location.

Fenced and Geo-fenced Managed Grazing

3

Next our flock arrives on site and gets to work. We visit the flock and perform health checks daily while managing their grazing areas with NoFence GPS collars and/or ElectroNet electric fencing.

Return?

4

We aim to build relationships with our clients and the land we graze.

Annual grazing can offer an ancient and sustainable solution to managing your land on an ongoing basis.

Additionally, some targeted grazing of nuisance species or brush clearance may require follow-up visits later in the season or in following years to properly meet the vegetation goals of the project.
